SO. We had a 18th/19th century ball two Thursdays ago (god DAMN I am behind). It was a ton of fun - everyone was dressed up in period costume, the ballroom looked lovely, and there’s nothing quite like watching a ton of 21st century American college students try to ballroom dance in giant dresses.
There was Not Enough Champagne (isn’t that always the case?) and some finger food and a DUEL and just general shenanigans. It was so much fun, and definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
